One of the most powerful tools of Kundalini Yoga is Meditation, has several functions such as cleaning our unconscious, contact our "best self" but especially the achievement of several of our goals, and learn here. QU IS "Meditation?: Yogi Bhajan (who brought this yoga to the West) said that meditation is like the garbage truck, for its purifying power is great, because all thoughts clean junk from our unconscious, that is all the thoughts that are there and we are useless, then already we have achieved this through a prolonged period of meditation is practiced it with mantras (sound power) they will begin to be implemented in our unconsciously sowing the seeds of awareness, clarity and high thinking, another way on how meditation can be understood as follows: CMC WORK?: Our mind releases thousands of thoughts through the subconscious, passing them to the conscious, then skyrocket emotion and emotion triggered the reaction, this is the process that Patanjali (One of the first yogis) describes about how the mind works.
THE THREE MINDS: For Kundalini Yoga humans have three types of minds that are: Positive Mind, the Mind and the Mind Negative Neutral, these three minds are part of the selection process that liberates the subconscious thoughts.
Negative Mind: The mind has a very important role in humans, is the survival mechanism of self-protection, prevention. Its function is thought that when this happens is mind that has all the potential difficulties posed this thought to the reality of that person, and this is very necessary. When the thought arises and before it is manifested in action, we need the ability to discriminate and see what is going to be the result of the action that triggered this thought before implementing it.
Positive Mind: The Mind does the opposite. It raises opportunities, see the results, looks to the future, projects and this is also necessary because it did not have the capacity to make mental projection, we would be in the same place, so that a positive mind gives us the ability to plan, imagine, visualize, we launch into that goal. Neutral Mind: the mind is intuitive, wise and balanced mind which is not involved, a witness who observes impartially. No sequence of thought until you succeed this state neutral and balanced. Mind it also represents service, humility and compassion.
The positive and negative minds must be in balance. When a thought arises, the subconscious mind is going to take it, the negative mind is going to evaluate it as a positive mind, this can create a balance so that we can discriminate that thought and then our neutral mind can act through intuition to guide us consciously made the right action to the impulse of thought. There are many individuals whose dominant negative mind or whose mind is weak positive, and vice versa, as well as emotions play an important role. That is why having the constant practice of meditation to develop the Neutral Mind is the wise mind that we correctly guide to achieving what we want and even show us what is right and what is not desirable because it is not convenient our personal growth.
The practice of Kundalini Yoga includes meditation, there are thousands of them to achieve many things such as meditation to achieve great strength, meditation for a peaceful heart, focus and sweetness Meditation, Meditation for completely neutralizing the tension, have nerves Meditation strong, Meditation for a healthy personal identity, to balance the Chakras Meditation, and finally a very large number of meditations. It is useful to have guidance from a teacher-advisor of this Yoga to tell you what to do and for how long.

I am an American Sikh who studied with Yogi Bhajan for 30 years. I want to introduce you to a free e-book “Sikhism and Tantric Yoga”; a rare and out of print book by a Sikh scholar and historian which takes a critical look at Yogi Bhajan's kundalini and tatric yoga systems. I discovered this book during my two years in India.“Sikhism and Tantric Yoga” has been a real eye-opener for me and makes complete sense when I think about the last thirty years of my life with Yogi Bhajan. Written by the esteemed Dr. Trilochan Singh, author of over twenty books on Sikh history and philosophy and lecturer at sixteen Universities, “Sikhism and Tantric Yoga”, describes the Sikh mystical path and is critical of Yogi Bhajan's Tantra and Kundalini Yoga.
